Our Digital Printing Process
When you have a design you’re interested in printing, send it to us in vector format (refer to art
requirements guidelines) along with specifications for the flag. True vector artwork allows us to produce the highest quality image on your flag.
The Approval Process
Our art department takes your graphics and converts them to a digital pattern. The pattern is sized to your specifications and a proof is sent to you for your final approval.
Once approved, your artwork is sent to our production team for printing. Using our state of the art digital printers, we print your custom graphic onto durable, weather resistant nylon fabric. Following a three step process your design is printed with our custom formulated acid-dyes into the nylon. Next the material is steam set to activate and set the colors. The last step is to wash and inspect your flag to ensure we have matched the requested PMS (Pantone Matching System) colors. The flags are generally printed as single reverse so they read correctly on the front and in reverse on the back, similar to the California State flag although these can also be made double sided.
Once your flag has been printed, the flag seams are double rolled and four rows of stitching are sewn at the fly end. The flag is then finished to your specifications with either header and grommets, a sleeve or snap hook and ring.
