We're on the news! Restoring the Avenue of Flags

We're so proud to share that our work was recently featured on CBS 8 News as part of the high profile restoration of the Avenue of Flags at Miramar National Cemetery.

This isn't just any project, the Avenue of Flags is a nationally significant site honoring veterans. After more than a decade of exposure to the elements, all 50 flagpoles needed critical repairs to ensure the flags continue flying. See the full story on CBS 8 here.

We'd like to share a little more about what goes into maintaining a flagpole. Over time, key parts need to be replaced due to wear from the sun, wind, moisture and regular use. You may find you're replacing parts more often if you live near the ocean or experience high winds. The flagpoles in this project feature internal halyards. This means the system is fully enclosed and features a winch and cabling. Even internal systems eventually have to be replaced.

Our team has started this restoration project and will continue until all 50 flagpoles are updated. It is a complex job that requires precision, American made parts and skilled work at 30' high.
